Like many women in their 50s, Jenny Hollinshead struggled with the effects of menopause. Over the years, she’d started to feel uncomfortable in her own skin so she took on IsaBody to help rediscover her confidence, and now she absolutely loves who she sees in the mirror, without caring about the scales!
“I’d gone up two dress sizes and I felt ashamed of how I looked, so that’s why the first 16 weeks of the challenge were truly mind-blowing. I started to lose that horrible bloated feeling, the pounds began to drop, and I was sleeping much better.
Week by week, I noticed my self-esteem improving, and honestly, I didn’t have any low points along the way. The shakes were delicious, satisfying and always made me feel full, and seeing those changes and feeling better every day kept me motivated and on track.
The biggest changes for me have been in how I cook, what I cook, and my portion control. I’m so much more aware of what I’m putting into my body now, and I’m proud to say that the most important change is that I now believe in myself – I no longer worry about what other people think.
Being recognised as an Honourable Mention has been a total shock! I never thought for a second that I could achieve what I have. This journey has truly inspired me to love the person in the mirror – something which I used to avoid at all costs.
If you think this is just another weight loss system that probably won’t work, trust me I know the feeling, but it couldn’t be further from the truth! It’s incredibly easy to follow, and the results speak for themselves.
My top tips are to remember it’s not always about what the scales say – pay attention to the tape measure! Take your before and after photos, even if you don’t want to at first, and track your progress weekly. I haven’t lost tons of pounds, but I’ve lost 13 inches and dropped two dress sizes. That says it all!”
